The GranFondo is coming to Banff!
Usually featured across Europe, the famous GranFondo is a cycling event of epic proportions. Featuring rides of more than a hundred kilometres through some of the world most beautiful scenery, one of the best cycling events in the world is arriving on the doorstep of your Banff hotel this summer.
August 25th will see cyclists from all over the globe descend on Banff to take in the astounding sight of Banff National Park as they make their way across a 142km route through the Rockies. Starting and finishing in Banff, cyclists of all abilities are able to participate in this world famous event.
This GranFondo is one of the first to be featured in a UNESCO World Heritage Site and with the abundance of activities, the beauty of Banff and the amazing selection of Banff hotels, spectators and participants are sure to experience more than just your average cycling event this summer.
If you’re interested in participating in the GranFondo, registration opens 9am on March 15th 2012. Demand for a place is expected to be high so be sure to act quickly to secure your place. More information on the event can be found here.
