The Douglas Fir Resort Pet of the Year – We Have a Winner!

Never mind the Hunger Games!
It was a two dog race; battling it out to be crowned the undisputed winner to claim the prestigious title of the Douglas Fir Resort Pet of the Year. We couldn’t decide who to pick as the winner for your Banff hotel, so we put it to your vote.
With a staggering 294 Facebook ‘Likes’, the photo of a very windswept Alife took the crown! His owner tells us the photo was taken one hot summer’s day in the Rockies as they drove around Lake Minnewanka. They rolled down the window and Alfie took prime position. With his paws tightly clutched to the window, he stuck his head as far out as he could and let the wind blow through his hair.
Alfie’s owners tell us, ‘Alfie is a character and a very funny little dog. He sings along to our daughters recorder, rides on her longboard home from school and knows how to say ‘I love you’ when he wants a treat. We took him in after his previous owner couldn’t keep him anymore and he has become a true member of our family’.
Alfie wasn't available for comment at the time of print, but he was seen gorging on bacon treats in celebration of his win! He wins a two night stay at the Douglas Fir Resort & Chalets.
