Banff National Park has bragging rights for being a phenomenal year round destination. There is as much to do in winter as there is in summer and Banff Snow Days showcases just that. You can have your very own winter condo in Banff and sample the delights on offer.
Banff Snow Days kicks off four fantastic weeks filled with captivating events including ice climbing, open air skating, hockey, ice carving, curling, snow sculptures and much more. Check out some of the highlights below:
Thursday January 12th – January 15th – The Fairmont Banff Springs Celebrity Sports Invitational
Ski the slopes with the superstars! Rubs shoulders with the likes of Robert F. Kennedy Jr., Alec Baldwin and other top Hollywood stars as they head to Sunshine Ski Area to raise awareness for the North American Waterways while competing in fun-filled events!
Saturday, January 14th – Heritage Geocache
Engross yourself in this modern day hide and seek which will send you exploring the park, collecting six interactive geocaches which allow you to learn more about the captivating heritage of Banff National park. What’s even better, the first 10 people to find all 6 geocaches will receive a prize! More info can be found here.
Saturday January 14th - 15th- Mountain Adventure Festival
Try ice climbing in downtown Banff, skate on one of Banff’s four outdoor ice rinks, see a snow carving come to life and engross yourself in life in the Rockies with an action packed night of mountain adventure films and stories.
January 20th – 29th - Ice Magic Festival
Seen as the centre piece in the Snow Days calendar, the ice Magic Festival at Lake Louise showcases the international ice carving completion, little chippers weekend and the brand new Ice Playground!
