This weekend sees the return of the fabulous family friendly Ice Magic Festival. Now into its 18th year at Lake Louise, the Ice Magic Festival is seen as the jewel in the crown of the Banff Snow Days celebration.
Jan 20th – 22nd International Ice Carving Competition
Against the backdrop of Lake Louise you can watch in amazement as professional ice carvers transform 300lbs blocks of ice into magnificent and enchanting sculptures. Hosted at Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise, you can grab a cup of hot chocolate as you watch the sculptures take shape. You can also enjoy other events such as 1 hour speed carving, horse drawn wagon rides and ice skating on the famous Lake Louise.
Jan28th – 29th – Little Chippers Weekend
Let the little ones loose with an activity packed weekend for some fantastic family fun, which includes the brand new Ice Playground! Plus all of the magnificent ice carvings from the previous week’s competition will be on display for you to enjoy.
Banff Snow Days is jam packed with events including the Backyard Rail Jam at Mt. Norquay, Snowy Owl Sled Dog Meet and Greet, Heritage Geocache adventures and a lot more! Events run until February 12th and you can find a full list of events here.
