It's official...winter is here.  Driving from the Calgary airport back to my beautiful hometown of Banff in a full out snowstorm on Monday night was a sure sign of things to come.  SNOW!  Good thing I've got my snow tires on and my skis tuned up.
The Lake Louise Ski Area has been open for over a week, Banff Mount Norquay is open for weekend skiing and Sunshine Village is opening up on Friday - so get your snow tires on and your skis and boards tuned up and take a drive out to Banff.  It's a winter wonderland right now!  For great getaway ideas, check out our package page at  www.douglasfir.com/packages
Early bird pricing is in effect until November 30th!  See you on the slopes!

Remembrance day in Banff

ShareThis

Remembrance Day is tomorrow November 11th.  If you would like to watch the parade in Banff, the best place to stand is in front of the Banff Legion.  The parade will make its way down Banff streets to the Elementary School where a Remembrance Day service will be held.  After the service, head back to the Banff Legion for their annual wreath laying ceremony.
