The changing colours of Banff
Cool, calm, and crisp weather of autumn make mountain biking in Banff exhilarating this time of year. The fall weather seems as if it is perfect for outdoor exercise of any type. Cycling in Banff is such a treat any time of year but my favorite time to hit the trails is right now September and October. The trees are displaying one of nature’s grandest colour displays by turning a gorgeous golden orange and I have about a one month window of opportunity to catch these images and smells for my memory to reflect upon in the cold winter days. A drive up Tunnel Mountain or around Minnewanka loop will certainly show you nature’s unique timing of changing colours. However, I do recommend stepping out of the car hoping on a bike and getting out feeling the seasons change up close. You won’t be disappointed and best of all it’s free!

Walk A Mile In Her Shoes

The men of Banff, Canada turned out at central park this afternoon to take part in Walk A Mile In her Shoes in support of YWCA Banff's activities to stop domestic violence. Balancing, tip-toeing and holding each other was just a few of the ways they made their way down Banff Ave sidewalk. Tourist visitors had a good chuckle as they strutted their stuff walking by them. My personal favorite was the pink pumps with a 2.5'' heel and of course the awesome dancing sasquatch. Well done guys! lol!

Snow in Septemeber YIKES!

Winter Wonderland came early this year in Banff and to many tourists it was a big surprise. A fresh 20cm of snow fell down last night. These photos were taken at about 11:00am.

Melissa’s Road Race September 24th & 25th
Are you coming to Banff for Melissa’s road race?
The 31st annual road race is on Friday, September 24 and Saturday, September 25th. With over 2,000 competitors and two races a 10km run and a 22km mini-marathon.
